I come into contact with all sorts of people when I leave my office. When making eye contact I smile politely, say hello like a normal person, or just mind my own business. Occasionally, I run into some pretty negative people though. While these types used to bother me, I just carry on with my day because I’m pretty positive that I don’t need to prove my self-worth to some random jerk. Here are the top 8 things random people say to me because I am heavily tattooed. 1.    1. “Doesn't that hurt?” People always say this with a snarled upper lip too, as if my appearance is truly disgusting to them. I always wonder what these types of people do for a living, and I hope it doesn’t involve caring for children, the sick, or the elderly because this question is straight up foolish. Of course it hurts- they certainly weren't licked on by baby unicorns. 2.      2.  “You must have trouble finding a job.” To think that my appearance would hinder my ability to find gainful employmen

One of my favorite places to eat is Mario's in Ormond Beach, FL. I literally order the same thing every time I go there, Veal Parmesan. The red sauce that they make there is TO DIE FOR! It's a family run restaurant that has been around for over 20 years. Aside from the food I like this place because of the ambiance and extremely polite employees.  

I go through so many books on my Kindle because it’s hard to find an easy read that keeps me turning the page, or if I can even get past the first few paragraphs! I'm very critical about what I read, so when I recommend a book there is definitely a reason for it. My pick for the month of November is  The Enemy We Know by Donna White Glaser  and it happens to be FREE on Kindle. If you have the same trouble finding a book like I do you should totally look her up!

Here are a few tips that will help you become successful, these are the things I did or continue to do anyways. 1. Quit blowing your money on stupid things. If you want to achieve any goal, you must first establish a budget, and only buy the things you actually need so you can save the rest for whatever your future entails. Even if you’re not sure what you’re saving for, you should still do it, because one day it will come to you and you’ll be ready. There have been periods in my life where my entire wardrobe fit in a single backpack, and I wiped my ass with newspaper because my focus was not on the "here and now", it was on where I wanted to be. 2. Stay out of the bar. Being the popular one at the bar is like being popular in high school- it doesn’t mean shit in the real world. People who create their own success don’t drink their lives away. Success is mind, body, and focus. It’s hard to focus when you’re drunk or hungover all the time, and anyone who says they

Holidays have never been a great experience in my life, but over the years I’ve made them into something that’s unique and special to me. While everyone is arguing about the color of their Starbuck’s cup, and counting the days till their next holiday party, I am doing what I always do- honoring my dead. Most of my dead aren’t family members, but they are all family to me for one reason or another. Death is the part of life that you don’t think about when you see someone smile for the very first time. As I have grown into the person I have become I make sure to capture that moment inside my head when I meet a beautiful soul. Do whatever you want with your holidays- just make sure they mean something special to you because that is what's truly important. At the end of the day coffee cups don’t mean shit, they end up in the trash anyways.

Today a salesman from a company we already have an account with, and purchase from regularly came into my office. As soon as we made eye contact he suddenly lost the ability to speak. Mind you, I’m wearing jeans and a t-shirt so I’m not sure what that was all about, but there was a lot of stuttering on his behalf. I asked him bluntly, “What do you want?” He started to make small talk about the building, and looked around my office like it was some foreign world. Then he started petting my dog, and commented about how catlike she was. “What do you want?” I asked again. Two thoughts came to my mind at this point. Either this guy was hung over, or he hadn’t been laid in a really long time. Probably both.
